How The Kova Process Works
Step 1
Start with a baseline estimate using our Pricing Estimator. It gives you a realistic range based on your sign type, size, and finish level. In some cases the final quote can be lower once we simplify details, so a quick call/email is always worth it.
Step 2
Once you move forward, everything is design-first. You’ll approve a full proof before anything goes into production, and we’ll guide you through permits, fabrication, shipping, and install planning so you’re never guessing what happens next.
What "design-first" means here
We don’t start production until you approve a proof you actually like. That proof includes layout, depth, finish direction, and mounting approach. After approval, we finalize a precise quote and timeline.
$250 design deposit (credited toward the final)
Production starts after permit approval (when required)
Final payment is due before shipping/delivery (after completion photos/video)

Common Questions
Still have a question? Send us a message. We’re quick to reply.
Is the estimator price the final quote?
No. The estimator is a starting baseline based on the info you enter. The final quote is created after the design proof is approved, and it can land a bit higher or lower than the baseline depending on the final size, details, mounting, and finish level.
How long does a custom sign take?
It depends on complexity and permitting. Once the permit is approved (if required), most projects are typically completed within about a month, but we’ll be transparent based on the specific scope and current production queue.
What is HDU?
HDU stands for High-Density Urethane. It’s a professional sign material used for premium carved signs.
What files do you need for my logo?
If you have a logo, we’ll need the original artwork or vector files (AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG are ideal). If you don’t have those, we’ll tell you what we can work with.
Do you handle permits?
We don’t force ourselves into being “the permit office,” but we do make it easier. We’ll help you understand what’s required and provide the documentation you need. If you want us to coordinate the permit paperwork, it’s $100 + city fees.
Do you install signs?
Sometimes. It depends on location, timeline, and budget. Many clients hire and pay a local installer directly, and we provide clear mounting guidance/templates when needed.Sometimes. Your Sign Starts With a Conversation...
Most projects start with the Pricing Estimator for a baseline. From there, we’ll do a quick call or email to confirm details like size, mounting, and whether permitting applies. After the $250 design deposit, we create concepts and proofs, then finalize the quote once the design is approved.
